As Valentine’s Day approaches, I would like to share with you a powerful theme from the Sacred Dreams Facebook page:
There is only one way to love people and that is to love them as they are. And this is the beauty; that when you love them as they are, they change. Not according to you – they change according to their own reality. When you love them, they are transformed. Not converted – transformed. They become new; they attain new heights of being. But that happens in their being, and it happens according to their nature.
Each of us is born into this world already valuable, already worthwhile, already good enough.
The depth of our ability to love people unconditionally, as illustrated in this wisdom quote above, starts with the foundation stone of our true capacity to love ourselves first! This self- love is sometimes mislabelled, mistakenly blaming and judging ourselves to be too selfish or indulgent or soft or emotional.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
The wisest and strongest people know that the softening of their heart through their conscious reconnection to the glowing inner light of self-love, that every person was born with, is one of the master-key positive psychology practices towards a life of joy and abundance.
So today and every day, the depth of our ability to feel love and share love is not dependant on whether or not there is currently a one and only beloved person in our life.
Blessings and good wishes to those who are currently in a loving relationship with a partner; equally positive vibes are extended to those who are glowing with a loving heart and not currently in a romantic relationship.
The psychologically liberating power of self-love is not defined by your present relationship status, rather it can be cultivated by allowing yourself each day to consciously reflect upon and gracefully embody these two following questions:
“What can I do today to be loving kindness?”
“What would love do?”
Enjoy the journey, always trusting and connecting more and more deeply to your own wisdom & inner beauty.
