Does the thought of the year winding down get you wound up? We feel you… Here are some of our tips for combatting the craziness of the silly season:
* Value the Gift of Time
Sometimes finding the perfect gift for a loved one is easier than it seems – the best presents can be great memories! Spend time with your loved ones or do something small that shows you care. Splashing out the $$ can leave you emotionally dry (not to mention your wallet).
* Get up and get going
We’re lucky here in “down under” that our Holidays fall in the middle of our summer – it’s the perfect excuse to get up a little earlier and do something for you. A morning stretch can help your waistline and still your mind, allowing you to keep your Zen throughout this busy time of year.
* Plan Ahead
Start thinking about how you’d like to spend your day this Christmas and work towards that goal. If you’re locked into the family lunch at Uncle John’s followed by a 2hr drive to the In-Laws? All Good! You already know that’s going to happen – so download a holiday (or whatever gets you feeling good) playlist to keep you cheery all day long.
Don’t forget to factor in the most important thing – DOWNTIME, don’t buzz yourself out with the busy-ness; set yourself a pace and just roll with it.
